MLow X Post Wook
Collage artist Post Wook explains The Astronomer's Daughter, a Bitcoin ordinals project built from real satellite data, and the political campaign playbook she uses to sell art.
Post Wook is Natasha Chomko, born 1995, a collage artist based in Los Angeles. She has been cutting up photographs since 2007, and she builds surreal landscapes out of fragments taken from all over the world: a road from one place, a mountain range from another, a moon that never hung over either. She holds a degree in political science and worked in politics before deciding it left her creatively empty, and she brought that campaign discipline with her when she moved into art full time. Commercial work came first and still runs alongside the fine art. She has made images for Adobe, Chase Bank, Toyota, Sony France, Club Med, BMW and Universal Music Group, drawn the James Webb Space Telescope for Ariane Group, and licensed her landscapes onto puzzles, planners and calendars sold through Target. In web3 she has been one of the louder voices for open source thinking and against restrictive copyright. Her work went into Sotheby's Contemporary Discoveries in 2025, she was named to the nft now NFT 100 in 2022, and in 2024 the Sphere in Las Vegas put her piece Everywhere but Inward on its 16K display. Her Bitcoin ordinals project The Astronomer's Daughter is a tribute to her father, who spent his career at NASA.
Photographic collage, assembled from existing images rather than drawn or generated. The vocabulary is fixed and immediately hers: an empty highway, a canyon or a treeline, and an oversized moon or planet sitting where the sky should be, saturated into colors the source photographs never had. Named collections include Ethereal Dreamworlds, One Night in August, As Above So Below and The Astronomer's Daughter. She works across Ethereum, Bitcoin ordinals, print licensing and large format commercial commissions.
