MLow X Jordan Lyall, Prohibition + Art Blocks
Jordan Lyall demos Heart + Craft live, his million supply collaboration with Snowfro, and explains how Prohibition turned Art Blocks Engine into an open platform.
Jordan Lyall is a product builder who moved from DeFi into generative art infrastructure. As DeFi product lead at ConsenSys he led the team behind the DeFi Score, and in August 2020 he posted a mock advertisement for a yield farming protocol generator called The Degenerator. Within hours someone launched an ERC-20 token under the ticker MEME, and Lyall leaned into the joke, warning people with the tagline Don't Buy Meme while the token climbed past a 48 million dollar market cap. He then founded VenturePunk, a Web3 product studio, and through it launched Prohibition, an open generative art platform on Arbitrum built on Art Blocks Engine. In August 2023 he released Heart + Craft on Prohibition, a collaboration with Art Blocks founder Erick Snowfro Calderon. Each generated block heart ships with a blueprint and step by step build instructions stored on chain, so collectors can assemble a physical version even if the company disappears. The project used an Inclusive Edition model with no fixed supply cap and a low price, an explicit push against FOMO drop culture. On The MLow Show he talked about building platforms that outlive their makers.
Builds generative art platforms and drops rather than a solo studio practice. His flagship creative project is Heart + Craft with Snowfro: algorithmically generated block hearts whose physical build instructions live on chain. Runs Prohibition, an Art Blocks Engine powered platform on Arbitrum, under his studio VenturePunk.
